Central Boiler - Installation
When you buy from us at Mainline you can do as little or as much of the installation as you are comfortable with. We will walk you through the process and answer any questions that you have. If you'd still prefer to have a professional take over, we can provide you with our local, fully licensed contractors for any plumbing, electrical, concrete or carpentry services that you need. Don't hesitate to ask for references -- our satisfied customers would be more than happy to share their experiences with you.
Choose a location
As close as 4' or up to 500' away from the building being heated. The average is 50' to 150'.
On most models, the furnace may be installed directly on stable ground that is level without the necessity of pouring a slab. If the ground is unstable or not level, you may want to either use a perimeter of patio blocks under the base or pour a concrete foundation.
It is required that the CL-7260 and Pallet Burner models be installed on concrete foundation.
Install your system
Dig your trench 12" to 18" deep. Our underground piping is so well insulated that there is no need to go any deeper. We prefer to stay above the water table. We carry both Thermopex and Insulpex. These two top quality brands of underground pipe are waterproof and insulated.
Connect your system
Attach pipes to the furnace, and to your heating system -- attachment to heat exchanger will vary depending on the type of heating system in your home or building.
Designed to work with any existing heating system to provide 100% of your heat while giving you normal thermostatic temperature control.
You can also add a domestic water-to-water heat exchanger in order to provide all of your domestic hot water needs.
